Waldwick Weekly 11/10/23
November 10, 2023Dear Parents/Guardians,
A special thank you to those of you who support us last Sabbath at the Waldwick Seventh-day Adventist Church. Our children did very well. The choir, under the direction of Mrs. Montoya, sang beautifully. Swan Barrett (Grade 8) did an excellent job as the speaker. Thanks to Vice-Principal Macucachi, and his 7th & 8th graders for coordinating and executing the program. A special thanks to Ms. Stephanie Chavarria, Mrs. Sanchez, and all the parents who contributed to the Sabbath potluck.
I would like to publicly thank Dr. Walker for her excellent presentation last night at the Home & School Meeting. Thanks to all the parents who were present.
Next Tuesday, November 7 will be Parent-Teacher Conferences. These conferences will be virtual, so school will be closed to facilitate the meetings. The teachers have and will send out their invitations. Please choose a time that works best for you. The time with each parent is reduce as most of our teachers teach both elementary and high school and we need to meet as many parents as possible. Please work with the time as best as possible. Classes resume on Wednesday, November 8.
If you did not get to place your citrus order today, Monday will be the final day to do so; otherwise, it will have to be for the December shipment. Thank you for your support as these fundraisers help to offset an major increase in tuition.
Please endeavor to be up-to-date with your tuition payment. Financial suspension is inevitable for students whose parents refuse to meet their obligations.
Please pray for our Juniors and Seniors who are traveling to Andrews University this weekend for their college tour.
On Monday, November 20, we will be having the annual Thanksgiving Feast for the students. Your contribution is welcomed. Items needed are: Vegetarian Chick, Potato tarts, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce, rice, apple juice, water, apple pie, plates, utensils and salad dressings. Please let us know what you are willing to donate. Financial contributions are accepted. Volunteers are also needed to assist Mrs. Nino with the preparation.
November 22 will be a virtual day and classes will end at 12 noon.
Finally, we praise God for allowing Ms. Bernise Beauboeuf, Kylise’s (Grade 6) mom, to be back home after spending approximately two (2) months in the hospital. She is still not “out of the woods” so continue to keep her in your prayers.
Have a blessed Sabbath.
Sincerely,
W. Edwards,
Principal
